I usually have an elevated sense of pride in my Smith community. Today, it was exponentially increased when current students, recent alums, not-so-recent alums, and the families/friends of Smithies responded to one of the most racist, classist, homophobic letters I have ever read. Smithies, thank you for reminding me why I love my alma mater so much. On a day that celebrates everything we have to offer ourselves, our peers, our generation, and the future of the world, I am proud to call myself a Smithie. And I am proud of each and every one of you.
